The 7 Key Steps to Happiness
89
Introduction
What does it truly mean to receive your greatness? How does one release your greatness? Is your joy different than happiness? How will I find my happiness?
In the upcoming Hubs, we will examine each of these things and within them you also find a 'Bonus Section' if you will wherein you will be taken step by step into in upper level. A place few have ever been. A place where God has taken me as I prayed for His guidance concerning a much more in depth look at The Visionary's Bridge. The question?
“How do I bring my vision before God?” Many of us believe we operate solely from a vision we receive from Him. Some of us, however, have the discernment and anointing to observe or hear something and know it to be a catalyst. Something God puts before us to see what we'll do with it. This, therefore, shall be the secret released to you in the very near future.
As Holy Truth International Worldwide Ministries comes into our 2010 Releasing Your Greatness Holy Convocation, there shall be a mighty move and shift of the Spirit of God. As The Apostle of Deliverance shall be the Presiding Prelate, all involved shall move into the greatness God already has for us. To realize that while it is important to understanding your motivations for following God, one shall also understand that some will equate their trust in God with their receipt of blessings. Others will come to understand that, in the final analysis, it comes down to one reality.
Does God trust you?
Our first section will focus on The 7 Key Steps to Happiness in Jesus. Let us therefore enter into prayer to receive the Holy Ghost.
Opening Prayer
“Heavenly Father, we come before you today asking you to open our hearts and minds to you. Let us understand what it is you have for us to learn as we look also into ourselves so that we may in return bless others. Search each of us, O Lord, and remove that which stands in your way. Give us the wisdom to understand and the understanding to move in the lives of others as we go out onto the highways and byways meeting each where they are. I ask for this not for my blessing but for your glory, Lord. In Your Holy Name, Amen.”
The 7 Key Steps to Happiness in Jesus
1) Psalm 127:5 - “Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” Be not afraid to take steps and move forward. Your happiness shall come as you approach your enemy not with fear but with happiness. Consider those arrows in your quiver. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Children are a heritage of the Lord. When we move forward in God's Name, be not concerned for the opinions of others. Remember this: Amateurs and novices built the Ark under God's direction. The World's professionals built the Titanic and assigned those who guided her.
2) Proverbs 3:13 - “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the and the man that getteth understanding.” Who you are is God's gift to you. What you make of yourself is your gift to God.
3) Psalm 144:15 - “Happiness is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.” Happiness lies not in the mere possession of money or other item. It lies, people, in the joy of achievement in the thrill of creative effort. When you finally complete a project, do you sit back and savor the thrill of its completeness? The elevation that exists within you as you see for yourself the results of your own creation? That happiness far surpasses any financial compensation you may receive even if that is nothing. They can take your money. They cannot steal your happiness borne of your own achievement and creativity. That is from God.
4) Proverbs 16:20 - “He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.” When we handle a matter based entirely upon the wisdom provided to us by God, we can rest assured handled that matter wisely. Not of or own understanding, for we shall then be destined to trust ourselves and our finite understanding. It is He who holds the big picture. He and only He knows any situation we find ourselves in from beginning to end. When we trust in the Lord and handle something as He directs us, our happiness is derived from that trust. Our ultimate happiness comes when He trusts us to handle a situation as He would want it handled.
5) Proverbs 29:18 – When there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” When we see the vision God gave us succeed, we have found happiness, for without that vision, we spiritually perish. Since God will not give us a vision without the means to complete it, turning your back on God is the only way you will fail. When we keep our covenant with God and trust Him by allowing Him and only Him to direct our footsteps as we move within His vision, we realize a happiness the world cannot offer. There is no precedent for it in today's corporate jungle. The closer we get to completion, we see that bright light much clearer through the fog. Completion puts us out of the fog and into our own Promised Land.
6) Romans 14:22 - “Hast thou faith? Have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.” Our faith before God shall put us in places and in situations where our natural selves feel out of place and confused. God is not the author of confusion. Rather, He is the author and finisher of our faith. When He has allowed some thing and we come through it with our eyes on Him, we have done as He would have us do. When God is happy with our faith and trust in Him, He can therefore entrust us with more. We have done the right thing in God's eyes.
7) II Corinthians 7:1-2 - “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.” When we can truly say this, we have a clean heart, clean spirit and clean hands before the Lord. To know we've come through something without having wronged no man, corrupted no man and defrauded no man leaves us with a peace in our spirit and happiness which can only come from God.
You are encouraged to review each of these passages, paying close attention to those surrounding verses for it is within these adjoining verses you shall receive the guidance and understanding leading you to further happiness in Jesus.
Your Morning Declaration of Happiness
In the morning, when you open your eyes, say to yourself, “I will not allow events, things, money, people or anything else to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is DEAD. Tomorrow is not promised. I have this one day and today I'm going to be happy in it.”
Closing Statement
The Closing Statement for this Hub may be perhaps the most powerful and compelling. Take it. Write it down and in the morning following your prayers, speak these words to yourself before greeting anyone.
Watch your thoughts – They become Words
Watch your Words – They become Actions
Watch your Actions – They become Habits
Watch your Habits – They become Character
Watch your Character – It shall become your Destiny
“Lord, you direct my path and order my steps”
“The Joy of the Lord is my Strength”
“My Happiness is for You”

seeking peace will bring the happiness we need. Thanks UG!
Unchained Grace: Very powerful are your teachings here. God places our feet on a path, and then guides us to His chosen destination for His glory.
Brother Dave.
family, understanding, Letting Him be Lord, handling matters wisely, vision, faith in Him, and a clean heart. Great biblical points to remember about happiness.
Loved your closing statement...going to keep that one.
Peace, Praise, Prayer...In addition to my morning ritual, I now add the things written in your hub. Thank You Unchained for these words. The Lambs of Light are shining!
HE shines upon their faces Unchained. His Glory for all to see. What a wonderful work you do for the Lord. I am honored to be your follower.
Thanks for the message brother, had to bookmark this one so I can find it when I need it.
wow...Unchained Grace..I've been wondering what you've been up to..so I hopped over to come and see if you have a new hub...hehe wow...this was just what my whole week was about so far...every day, just as I tend to think about some horrible things that happened to me, then I say to myself, I choose not to think about that, it will only spoil my day and poison my joy..I even prayed and told God that I wish to manifest Gal 5:22 instead of unhealthy memories...wow..for once we were on the same wave length..hehe..wonderous hub!!!! :)
I tell you scriptures, scriptures references draws me to a great HUB! And this is a GREAT HUB!!! I voted useful! Love you!
I believe that if you have a sincere love for Jesus and you step out in faith-knowing he is there and he controls everything..regardless through the good or bad...nobody can snatch your happiness.
Does God trust me? Yes. I believe that God trusts me to do the right thing by his word, regardless of the losses down here. I have lost much by following the Lord but gained everything most important by having the Lord. He trusts me and knows me intimately. He knows what gives me happiness and joy....he knows my heart. :)
When God's truths are revealed he will renew my life in a way that I can not even fathom right now..but he has been working on restoring me and rebuilding me, teaching me and truly changing me in such good ways. I see it and feel it and I am listening. Nobody--nothing can steal my
happiness that I have.
I am cracking up--was at work a few months back and my manager asks "Why are you so happy? We are not used to anyone who smiles and is happy in this place." I said "I have God in my heart that's why." He looked at me baffled and then smiled a sly grin and said..."well you and God go over to table 12 and greet them okay?" hehehe (I was serious) When I think of what God is doing in my life--I skip! I kid you not--I skip!
I didn't ask for this Vision--nor was I looking for it--God gave it to me--so nobody can take it away. I listen and try to obey so that God will allow me to show his greatness! Rock on! How cool is that?
An excellent hub indeed which presents timeless truths in the light of God's Word. Truly true happiness is achieved by pursuing righteousness in the eyes of God. The truly happy man is the one who lives in accordance to God's will in all aspects of his life. Thank you for sharing these timeless principles in achieving happiness here at Hubpages. Blessings to you and your family. Best regards.
Thank you once again for a wonderful hub. You did not offer a three point sermon on the "7 steps to happiness" Rather you provided the Scripture so that one can read for ones self the steps to happiness. Thank you for not just telling us but engaging us in studying the Scripture.
Furthermore, I just want to let you know that I will write down your final words and I will remember, not only to say it after morning prayers but throughout the day when the enemy comes in like a flood to lie about my circumstances I will reiterate your words “I will not allow events, things, money, people or anything else to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is DEAD. Tomorrow is not promised. I have this one day and today I'm going to be happy in it.”
Reaffirming the words of the Apostle Paul, "rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice"
Dear Unchained Grace,
I very much loved reading this. It is very strong and I was encouraged by it. I do not doubt that what you are doing is so great. You have a talent for words and speaking into the hearts of people through them. Continue doing what you are doing. God bless you :)

Your daily reminder is a great way to start the morning. We do have a choice of how we'll spend our day: grateful, happy and loving or cynical, joyless and hateful.

UG,
I so appreciate this hub introducing to some and reminding others of the true Source of joy and happiness and the greatness God has already endowed His children with. Time has come for us to realize our power comes from within and not without.
